Upon motion by Tom Blefko, second by Joe Younger, the minutes of the October 10, 2020 Directors’ Meeting were approved.
Tom Blefko reported that a meeting was held to discuss the issue of auction properties being listed in the MLS, noting that the listing price for auction properties has caused confusion among consumers and their agents. The Directors recommend that it wold be beneficial for Bright MLS to differentiate more clearly between an auction listing and a residential listing.
The Directors suggested that staff communicate with Bright and recommend that “Auction” be added to the Property Status field. It was noted that this issue has an educational component as it relates to creating custom searches, and it was recommended that the Association discuss the development of educational courses/videos for custom searches with Bright Training Staff. Additionally it was suggested that articles be considered for inclusion in the Association’s Closing Comments Blog. Upon motion by Tom Blefko, second by Richard Boas, Jr., the Directors approved all of these recommendations.
